Welcome to the Angel

Langport Cares is working at full capacity with others to support those in need. Food is needed for some families impacted by unemployment due to Covid 19. Unlike the food banks, we are locally trying to satisfy specific needs (no criticism of the food banks) so fresh vegetables, meat are being obtained. Please use the donate icon to support action, as we have no café income. Cash can also be deposited at the Rectory Post Box (black metal box to the left of the Church Office door or cheque (St Mary's PCC note for Langport Cares).Jess Pitman and an increasing team of volunteers are distributing to those isolated in their homes, food parcels and medications. It is busy and exhausting work, thanks for their immense efforts. Thanks also for financial support from the Huish Episcopi Parish Council, Langport Town Council and the Rotary Club for financial support. As the Archbishop of Canterbury said, new ways of doing church!

The Angel is one of the popular community facilities in Langport Somerset. Langport is a small market town in county. It is the centre of an area of rural villages.

The town itself is historic and commercial and shares much of its activity with Huish Episcopi, the main area where families reside.

Please read the various pages, you may well find a group that will help you enjoy living and working in the area all the more.Cafe open Wednesday to Friday 10 - 4 Saturday 10 - 12 noon..

Look at the Halls to Hire Page. Times are available at both the Angel and All Saints Hall at competitive rates. All Saints Hall is great for a family party, chairs and tables for around 50 people, kitchen and in the centre of Langport. Call Sarah mornings Monday to Thursday 251 881.
